Morgan Local School District

Morgan Local School District’s mission is to provide the opportunity for all students to achieve the skill required to work productively, live successfully, and be a contributing member of society. The district will work as partners with each student, the student's family, business and industry, and the community to meet the needs of each child.

Situated in scenic Southeastern Ohio, Morgan Local School District predominantly consists of small rural communities scattered throughout Morgan County, which has a county population of approximately 14,000 people. The school district consists of 3 elementary schools (K-6), one junior high (Grades 7-8), and a comprehensive high school (Grades 9-12), with a total school population of approximately 1,676 students.

Despite its small size, Morgan Local offers a wide variety of programs, including programs for students with special needs, as well as programs for those who are gifted. Schools in the district also offer a variety of clubs, athletic opportunities, and other intra/extra-curricular activities which gives students plenty of opportunities to expand their interests.
